Half Term Hamper deliveries in lockdown

We are halfway through our third national Covid-19 lockdown, and its been grey skies, homeschooling and monotony for a long time now. So we were absolutely delighted to receive the excellent news that we have been awarded a grant by Connect4Communities in association with Hampshire County Council. The money was earmarked for food hamper deliveries to families who needed them, and the week before half term was perfect timing.

The KOT team dusted off their recipe books and put together several easy, delicious and healthy recipes and a vast army of fabulous volunteers hit the Andover supermarkets. There are no pizza bases left anywhere at the time of writing! In total 64 families received a mouth watering array of ingredients, and this week has seen the most wonderful feedback plus some photographs of delicious culinary masterpieces!

Once again a huge thank you to our volunteers for giving up their time and coping with below freezing temperatures, and some quite adverse problems such as newbuild houses not yet registered with postcodes!
