What another ‘eggs’travaganza of a camp and our biggest one yet. We had fun, we faced challenges, we had a happy time as a team and are now raring to go for our Summer Camp.
Volunteers ran Arts & Crafts, a KOT 10th Birthday Bake Off, Tag Rugby, football, and various games. We were also joined by Emma Callow who introduced us all to Robot Art, Liz Hammond from Chapel Art Studios came along armed with various art games, exploding books, and a 10th Birthday Ink Tree art project. Steve Faulkner ran a magnificent magician’s workshop which stunned the children and volunteers, Abbas from One Drum ran African drumming (a day early!) and Kate from Box Andover introduced the children to boxing.
We were also delighted to welcome many visitors over the 3 days including the High Sheriff of Hampshire, and The Test Valley Mayor.
Tesco kindly donated Easter Eggs which each child took home on the last day, thank you.
We couldn’t do it without so many willing volunteers; many have been volunteering
for years and are our rocks, some children who have graduated from KOT are now
coming back to volunteer, and we continue to welcome new friends and faces. As
always, we are so appreciative of everyone’s time, commitment and energy. Thank
you from us all.
