What a busy busy year it has already been! After ending last year with having to cancel our Christmas Camp and the Carol Concert, we felt determined this year would be a fresh start and a new chapter.
Mentoring and Outreach
A new wonderful group of Mentors have recently joined our KoT family and they have been paired with a selection of our lovely KoT children. They managed to meet last week and we are looking forward to being able to offer support in all the ways we can.
Lunch clubs at a couple of the local schools are up and running again. These provide a special opportunity to catch up with some of our KoT children. We have also had a cupcake and craft after school catch up at The Lights in Andover where some gingerbread houses were decorated with all sorts of deliciousness.
Our outreach programme is always growing. We have been able to continue to teach a few of our children to swim in the wonderful pool at Farleigh and one of our children has just joined a local rugby club.
Fundraising
Our fundraising team held a very fun and challenging Bridge afternoon. It was so lovely to be able to do this in person and to see some our supporters face to face. The Grosvenor in Stockbridge looked after us wonderfully and provided a delicious tea. There was also a raffle with some sought after prizes from local companies.
Adventures
We have also managed to go on the most fantastic and spoiling trip to see Southampton vs Man City play at St Mary’s Stadium. This was an incredibly generous and kind donation from a supporter – we couldn’t have been more grateful.
The ball is rolling for the planning of our Easter Camp as well as many more exciting things to come, we can’t wait!
